Les projets agro-énergétiques dans l’Ouest français : spécification des ressources et ancrage au territoire

Abstract : The agro-energy activities of Western France, at the end of the 2000s, are motivated by the goal of achieving agricultural and/or local self-sufficiency. This results in multiple services being produced to develop the land, of which the creation of short energy circuits is just one aspect. Local authorities and provinces make agro-energy part of their own development strategies, or of rural development programmes (Leader or centre of rural excellence) and territorialised public action on climate and energy (POPE law of 2005 and Grenelle Environment 2010). These multi-dimensional projects under multi-partner constructions and singular cooperatives demonstrate the local capacity to mobilise territorialised social capital, allowing resources to be established which, in principle, were considered unremarkable.
